2024 General Elections: Darling Boy Accounts Of His Laudable Projects, Pledges Commitment To LOWAC Parliamentary Seat

PARLIAMENTARY Candidate (PC) for National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Lower West Akim Constituency (LOWAC) of the Eastern Region, Mr Owen Kwame Frimpong has rendered an account of his project and programme achievements so far in the constituency, reaffirming his determination to win LOWAC parliamentary seat for the NDC in the 2024 general elections that the NPP has historically dominated.
Mr Frimpong popularly known as Darling Boy, an entrepreneur, philanthropist and Asamankese indigene listed about thirty-four (34) laudable social and infrastructure intervention projects he has initiated in his constituency since he is being elected by the delegates to contest the 2024 parliamentary election on the ticket of the NDC.
He noted further that the LOWAC seat could shift as his popularity and dedication to the constituents become increasingly evident.
His proactive initiatives in health, education, road networks, youth employment, provision of safe drinking and borehole facilities, electrification, promoting of youth sporting activities and community mobilization underscore his commitment to improving local lives, even before officially assuming office.
“I have what it takes to be a parliamentary candidate to challenge the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate to win the seat this time for the NDC.I am very ready to change the narrative of NDC in LOWAC and bring hope to party folk in the constituency,” Mr Frimpong stated.
Mr Frimpong disclosed this when he was speaking in an interview with some selected media practitioners to showcase his vast achievements since he was contesting for the seat in the 2024 polls.
Darling Boy interventions in the Constituency are as follows,Renovation of Abuchensu Prim Sch Block and furnishing their library, Supply of white marker boards for Asamankese Salvation School, Construction of Covet Bridge at Empercom, Construction of Covet Bridge at Estate, Provision of Street lights/bulbs at Asamankese Melcom, Beposo, Abease, Estate, Kwahulane, etc, Renovation of Amaako Islamic and L/A School blocks, Provision of water; borehole at Bunsu, Ongoing 10-seater Toilet project at Awaham, Renovation of Askse Old Clinic, Beposo, and provision of financial support to Asamankese Fire Service to repair their fire thunders and dormer machines to aid their activities.
Others are ongoing Renovation of toilet projects at Owuram, Grading/Reshaping of feeder roads at Osenase, Akanteng and Nyadieye, Financial support and Provision of mattresses, chop boxes, buckets for 100 brilliant but needy students in the Constituency, provisions of 1200 pieces of mathematical sets to final year students of Asasco, provision of 50 bags of cement to St.Thomas SHTS, Donation of ceiling fans, musical instruments to some Churches in Asamankese, donation of bags of cement, ceiling fans to Topease Methodist Schools, ongoing Free Vacation Classes for SHS students in the Constituency, paying medical bills of patients at Asamankese hospital kids and female wards, donation of pieces of clothes to widows and a feast with orphans and construction of Footbridge that links Jamestown to Estate.
The rest includes the support for an ongoing construction of 10 seater toilet facility at Bunsu, ffree Health Screening at Asamankese Main Market, Provision of Power Metres and Information Centre at Asamankese Main Market, provision of brand new car tyres for Asamankese Ambulance Service to get the Ambulance back to work, Repair works on borehole water project at Afranse Yaw Tanor, Repair works on a borehole water project at Kwamoransa-Adiemra and provision of footballs, sets of Jersey, trophies and cash prizes to various youth teams at Asamankese and Odjade zones.
Other achievements are sole sponsor of annual inter-area Xmas gala for the past 10 years with provision of set of jerseys, footballs, trophies and Cash prizes, sole Sponsor of Osabarima's Inter Schools quiz competition in the annual celebration of Obuodwan Festival with cash, laptops and exercise books as prizes, provision of 50 bags of cement and 5000ghc cash to Asamankese SHS, provision of 50 bags of cement and 5000ghc cash to Asamankese St.Mary's TVET, provision of megaphones to all electoral areas in the Municipality (1ward, 1 megaphone), Renovation (painting) of Akanteng M/A JHS and was very instrumental in bringing relief to the people during the covid era with provision of safety and food items.
The philanthropist who doubles as Chief Executive of the Darling Boy Fan Club assured the youth and the vulnerable of halting their unpleasant circumstances and promoting quality education in the locality.
This is in his quest to empower and develop society through selflessness, personal commitment, financially and innovatively.
Darling Boy reiterated his unwavering desire
to assist the poor and weak in society and eradicate the drug menace in the youth by bringing them out of the ghettos and into a socially acceptable engagement.
He said community development-based initiative and humanity at no time must be substituted or gambled and that, the masses particularly the youth needed to be given the necessary cushioning.
According to him, quality teaching and learning are gradually manifesting in the municipality with the cooperation of the Municipal Chief Executive of the area
He said the cooperation with the MCE has enabled him to undertake more educational initiatives at all levels of education.
Mr Frimpong did not lose sight of the health of the people adding that he would continuously absorb the health bills of the vulnerable irrespective of their demography.
