61 artisans receive economic support in Ho West

According to the District Cheif Executive of the Ho West District, the opportunity was given to the youths who are ready to work to spark their future.

As part of the government measures to eradicate poverty by empowering the teeming youth, some 61 young artisans have been presented with a number of working equipment to help empower them economically.

The beneficiaries were selected from across the various communities in the Ho West district in the Volta region based on non-partisan affiliation. They were given industrial sewing machines, hand sewing machines and hairdressing sinks.

The support, according to the District Chief Executive is an initiative from the Centre of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COVET) 

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr Ernest Apawu told Soireenews the initiative is part of giving the opportunity to the youths who are ready to work. 

He challenged the beneficiaries to make good use of it to enable them to feed themselves and the family to bring unemployment to an end.

Some of the beneficiaries have also thanked the government for the initiative.
