AFCON Qualifiers Opening Fixture for the Black Stars and Bafana Bafana 'CHANGED'

The 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification game between the Black Stars and Bafana Bafana has been rescheduled to Thursday November 14, 2019 according to the Cofederation of African Football (CAF).

The Group C opening game was supposed to be played on the 15th of November, Friday between the two sides before Ghana travel to play Sao Tome in their next fixture.

According to a statement on the website of SAFAregarding the opening fixture, “Bafana Bafana will play the Black Stars of Ghana on Thursday, 14 November 2019 in Accra and welcome Sudan three days later on Sunday, 17 November at Orlando Stadium after CAF changed the initial dates for the Cameroon AFCON 2021 qualifiers”.

 

 

“Initially South Africa was pencilled to play the West African country on 15 November and host Sudan on 19 November before the continental controlling body intervened and changed the dates around.

“This means, Molefi Ntseki’s team will welcome Sudan at Orlando Stadium on Sunday, 17 November.

South Africa are in Group C together with the Black Stars, Sudan and Sao Tome Principe.

“Two teams from the Group will qualify for AFCON 2021 in Cameroon,” the statement revealed.
