Ghanaian Original Movie, “Aloe Vera”, Sold out on Premiere.
The Premiere.

The movie "Aloe Vera" was set to be premiered at the Silvabird Cinemas in Accra at West Hills Mall and the Accra Mall. Few could have predicted the how successful the premiere would turn out to be.

In the era of high budget movies with low production, "Aloe Vera" is the golden standard as it combines a low budget with a high standard of production.

The premiere was sold out and flooded by fans that had already been enchanted by the trailer and promotions that had come before. Silverbird cashed out on the opportunity, prolonging the premier time late into the night in adddition to the already proposed time of 5pm, 7pm and  9pm.

The movie itself has interesting and underlying meanings that the Ghanaian filmmaker, Peter Sedufia tried to build on.

Sedufia invented his own set from scratch to shoot the movie, creating a unique colour scenery between two communities living within the same location. Based on Primary the primary colour blue and the secondary colour yellow.

Sedufia explained that the blue colour represented the "Aloes" while the Yellow colour respresenred the "Veras".

Audiences have always loved developing sentimental value towards products, especially movies. Peter Sedufia has played expertly on this knowledge.

Just like how cinema audiences all over the world turned up to the cinema to watch Black Panther in their African Attires, Ghanaian audiences went to the cinema in to see "Aloe  Vera" in their yellows and in their blues.

The movie which has garnered so much hype over the past few months was gobbled up ticket by ticket at the cinema, as all the tickets were sold out on the day.

Stars of the movie included Nana Ama Mcbrown, Gloria Sarfo, Aaron Adatsi, Alexandra Ayirebi-Acquah, Fred Amugi, Kofi Adjorlolo, Roselyn Ngissah, and several up-and-comers as well. This happens to be Peter Sedufia's third solo effort after Keteke and Sidechic Gang.

The movie is still showing in the cinemas and will continue to show for the foreseeable future as sales continue to rise higher and higher. Don't take our word for it, go check it out yourself!
