Tha Assemblyman in the Asutifi North Constituency assured that Government of Ghana is doing all within its power to ensure the pandemic is controlled.

The Assembly Member for Dormaa Electoral Area in the Asutifi North Constituency of the Ahafo Region Honorable Ibrahim Issifu has donated Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) to schools to support the fight against the Corona Virus (COVID-19). 

The items donated included some packs of tissue papers, a box of liquid soap, three boxes of sanitisers and Noise mask.

Presenting the items to the headmistress of Ko Di Wo Hia Junior High School for onward distribution to schools, the Assemblyman noted that, the government is committed to ensuring the safety of teachers and students as it reopens schools across the country to each student, teacher, non-teaching staff and schools are provided with adequate PPEs.

He promised that government is doing all within its power to ensure the pandemic is controlled to guarantee public safety and protection of lives but it would depend on Ghanaians to strictly adhere to the protocols.

Mr Ibrahim tasked staff to enforce and ensure students abide by the laid down protocols by wearing of nose mask, practising social distancing, washing of hands regularly with soap under running water, the use of hand sanitisers, avoiding handshakes in other to provide a safe environment for studies.

 The headmistress of Ko di Wo Hia JHS, Madam Joyce Kunadu Frimpong, who received the items on behalf of the schools expressed gratitude to the Assemblyman for the kind gesture and promised to use them for the planned purpose.

The students were full of praise for the Assemblyman.
