He made these assertions after paying a visit to the school to inspect the status of the boy's dormitory he constructed in his first term and also presented a cheque of a "handsome amount" to the school to cater for other expenses.

He wrote on Facebook "Education has been at the core of the transformation agenda of every society, and I have always made educational programmes and projects my topmost priority ever since I got elected.

"With education, we can have a refined human resource that raises the socio-economic standard of our constituency and the nation at large.

"It is no doubt that this sector is bedevilled with a lot of challenges. Nevertheless, I have promised to do all I can in the best possible way to mitigate these challenges and make quality education a top priority for all Fomena Constituents.

"Yesterday, I paid a working visit to one of the three Senior High Schools in my Constituency, Asare Bediako SHS, which is located at Akrokerri. This school has, over the years, had numerous challenges with boarding facilities to house the students.

"This motivated me to facilitate the building of the Boys' dormitory for the school during my first tenure as an MP.

"This I believe will help reduce the pressure on the school since students were to be hosted in hostels that came with greater bills.

"After the dormitory, management again brought to my notice the need to assist the school to offset some hostel bills.

"I presented a cheque with a handsome amount of money to the management of the school to help pay off the rent cost of one of the hostels that house the girls.

"I used the opportunity to have a short meeting with management where I reiterated my commitment to seeing every school within my constituency take a facelift to enhance quality education.

"I hinted to management on how far I have gone with discussions on getting a bus for the school.

"As part of making the teaching staff comfortable in their staff room to enhance effective teaching and learning, I promised to secure some fans and a television set for use in their Staff Common Room.

"I could not leave without thanking the school for their prayers, support and well wishes before, during and after the elections. It is indeed a great honour to have been given the nod to serve my constituents another term."
