The executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as well as sympathizers in Ayensuano Municipal in the Eastern Region, have called for a new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE)

The executives say President Nana Addo should as a matter of urgency adhere to the plea of the people to appoint someone who can fast develop the area.

Speaking to Soireenews 24 News reporter, William Akwaboa in anonymity, they said the MCE of Ayensuano, Mrs. Florence Govina caused the New Patriotic Party to lose the Parliamentary seat in the just ended 2020 elections to the NDC for the first time since 1996.

They further alleged that the Municipal lacks infrastructural development due to the incompetency of the MCE, Mrs. Florence Govin.

The Ayensuano NPP executives have however appealed to President Akufo-Addo to consider the calls made by chiefs and many opinion leaders demanding the appointment of Madam Josephine Awuku Ansah as the new MCE.

They testified that Madam Josephine Awuku Ansah's exuberance and maturity clearly demonstrate that she qualifies for the position.

The NPP Ayensuano executives believe there are many competent and prominent candidates in the municipal but they see the noblewoman as the best person who through her appointment can seal the cracks in the party as well as the Ayensuano Municipal.
