The Public Relations Officer of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nii Armah Amarteifio says the embattled gold dealership company has suspended payments of customer’s locked up investments until further notice.

Speaking on OK FM in Accra, the PRO opened up that the Chief Executive Officer, Nana Appiah Mensah and his son were traumatized following an ‘attack’ at his private residence by some upset customers.

According to reports, there were sounds of a gunshot in the vicinity as the customers gathered at the main gate of the house in an effort to retrieve their monies on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

Because of what happened yesterday [Wednesday, January 8], we have suspended the payments; whom is it going to affect; it will affect those in the zero category and it could even be that the people within the zero category were not part of those who went to my boss’ place; so the customers must be patient, we know they are going through a lot," Amarteifio said.

Nii Armah Amarteifio also spoke that he has been receiving death threats by clients as the lives of staffs of the company are in great danger.

He pleaded unto customers to exercise patience for the demonstrations carried out will only frustrate and slow down the payment process.
