Megan Thee Stallion has recruited none other than Beyoncé for the "Savage" remix. 

Originally taken from her Suga EP, which dropped last month, the track has been given multiple new verses from both Meg and Bey. "Hips TikTok when I dance/On that Demon Time, she might start an OnlyFans," Beyoncé kicks off her first full verse, which is a reference to the current after dark craze. In an Instagram comment, The-Dream mentioned that the TikTok lyric was "a J line," likely referring to JAY-Z. Both are listed as writers on the remix, per TIDAL credits.

Pardison Fontaine, Derrick Milano, and Starrah are also among the new names listed as writers on the remix. 

"Savage" has taken off on the charts, with the song climbing to No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks in part to its accompanying TikTok challenge. This remix should give it another boost.

All proceeds from Bey's "Savage" rework will benefit Bread of Life'sHouston COVID-19 relief efforts, which Beyoncé's BeyGOOD organization recently announced a $6 million donation to in partnership with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's #startsmall. Upon sharing the remix on Twitter, Meg remarked, "I'm f*cking crying rn HOUSTON WE ON ????????????."

Meg talked about how important the remix was to her and said her late mom was a big fan of Bey. "My momma was like a really huge fan of Beyoncé. She used to make me watch a bunch of Beyoncé stuff," she said. "Dog, for Beyoncé to even do a song with me?"

Multiple artists including YG, DaBaby, Trina, Asian Da Brat, Justin Timberlake, and many more congratulated Meg on the remix shortly after it dropped. 

When Complex spoke with Meg back in January 2019, she expressed her desire to work with her fellow Texan. "I wanna work with Beyoncé. Obviously, I have to get the OG Hottie—the Houston Hottie—to do a song with me," she said.

The release of the "Savage" remix follows a particularly tumultuous dispute with her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. Earlier this year, the rapper revealed her label wouldn't let her release new music over a contract dispute. She was later granted a restraining order that allowed her to release new material against 1501's wishes.
