Gospel artiste, Hannah Marfo, has charged Brother Sammy with the crime of using her song without approval.

The evergreen gospel musician revealed that Brother Sammy outrightly cheated her by stealing one of her hit tracks, 'Yensom Obiara', but proceeded to beg her after taking advantage.

Hannah narrated that she chose to forgive him and not press any charges after the worshipper admitted his wrong and pleaded for pardon.

 “I forgive him else the damages he would have paid because you can’t take someone’s property without her consent,” the veteran stated whiles speaking in an interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM’s Kwantenpon Drive.

The Kumawu-born musician has been in the Ghanaian gospel music industry for over two decades and with 13 albums to her credit, used the illustration to weigh in on the current beef between Patience Nyarko and Joe Mettle stating the need for peace and forgiveness.

“My advice for Joe Mettle and Patience Nyarko is that I pray peace prevails…Some are naturally good writers and some also will pick old songs and reproduce it. So let us be one and be together so we will all benefit from royalties,”

She also revealed how God touched her own life, giving the account of how she first got into music saying, “I started singing by joining a band at Kumawu. When my father introduced me to the band, I really served them well and because of my passion I was able to achieve my dreams of being a gospel musician.”

She concluded that different people will have different methods of producing songs, and one should not affect the other, as the ultimate goal is to preach the gospel. She disclosed that she herself gets her inspiration from the bible itself.
