Former Napoli boss, Carlo Ancelotti is set to succeed Marco Silva at Everton this week according to Sky Sports.

Ancelotti emerged as the primary target for Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright after he was axed by the Italian club last week.

The Merseyside club has been taken over by Duncan Ferguson in their two Premier League games against Chelsea and Manchester United with the results looking inspiring for the Toffees.

The club on Monday confirmed that Duncan Ferguson will remain in caretaker charge for their Carabao Cup quarterfinal tie against Leicester City.

Meetings have been held between both party and agreement has been reached, as a deal is likely to be struck before Arsenal visit Goodison Park over the weekend.
