Bra Collins has disclosed how his journey to Christ almost made him give up his rap music.

The gospel rapper explained his revelation on how rap and Christianity can go together because it was God who gave him the talent in the first place.

He noted that there was no better way to give back to God than to use the talent that was given by Him to glorify Him back.

Narrating how different secular music and gospel rap is, Bra Collins stated that his rap can as well draw souls to Christ as other form of gospel music.

“When I got born again, I felt like quitting rap music but I realised that it’s a talent God gave me; if I’m born again, it doesn’t mean He took the talent away from me. So, I wanted to rap for God and that’s why I do gospel rap,”

Bra Collins has now revamped himself as a rap evangelist, earning five nominations in the Ghana Music Awards USA, including US-based Best Rapper of the Year in the process.

He has also been nominated in the US-based Male Artiste of the Year, US-based Gospel Artiste of the Year; US-based Best Gospel Song of the Year and Best International Collaboration of the Year for his ‘Adom Bi’ record which features Obrafour.

In what was a list announced in April, ahead of the main ceremony in New Jersey in August, the 2021 Ghana Music Awards USA is in its second year organised by Don’s Music Production in partnership with Highlife Media USA.

The announcement was made in New Jersey and saw many Ghanaian celebrities including Christ Attoh, Kwaw Kese and Koo Fori in attendance.
