Former Southampton right back, Nathaniel Clyne will leave Liverpool at the end of his contract, Liverpool have confirmed.

Clyne’s contract concludes on June 30 and Liverpool have no intention of renewal. He was the Reds sixth signing under Brendan Rodgers completing a £12.5m move from Southampton.

His last three seasons at Anfield have been a disaster with injury upsetting his career.

With Trent Arnold Alexander beating him for the right-back role and managing the position with distinction, the 29-year old will have not much to offer especially with Neco Williams, a product of Liverpool U-19 been groomed as a back up to Trent.

The England international made 103 appearances for the club, scoring twice. He joined Bournemouth on 4 January 2019 on loan for the remainder of the 2018–19 season making his debut on January 5 in a 3–1 FA Cup defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion.
