The Chief Executive of Ghaba Cocoa Board (COCOBO), Dr. Ransford Abbey, has successfully completed his first round of tours to all seven cocoa-producing regions in Ghana, wrapping up with a meaningful round of engagements in the Volta Region.

In the final leg of his tour, Dr. Abbey interacted with cooperative cocoa farmers in Bowiri Kyeraheni, in the Hohoe District, before engaging one-on-one with a young cocoa farmer on his farm.

He paid a courtesy call on Togbega Gabusu VII, Paramount Chief of the Gbi Traditional Area, and met with staff at the COCOBOD Volta Regional Office.

Reflecting on the tour, Dr. Abbey noted that the experience gave him a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the current state of Ghana’s cocoa industry.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to cocoa farmers across all regions for their warm hospitality, unwavering dedication, and hard work in supporting the industry.
