A Ghanaian prophetess named Veronica Okai, the leader of The Break of Mountains prayer camp at Pokemon in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region, has been arrested by the Akuapem South District Chief Executive for disregarding the government's ban on social gatherings. 

Veronica Okai, who is an elder of the church was grabbed on March 18,2020, during a church service for going against the ban placed on public gatherings by the Ghanaian President, His Excellency, President Akufo-Addo in a bid to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

The arrest was made at about 12:45 pm, on the sole grounds that she was holding a public gathering after a ban had been placed on all public gatherings including religious activities in a bid to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. The prayer camp was then shut down by the team led by the District Chief Executive for the Akuapem South. 

The public is being urged to adhere to the instructions provided by the government, as it is for the good of the country at large.

The earlier the Coronavirus threat is eradicated the earlier activities can resume at their normal frequencies.
