COVID-19: Ghana's cases leaps from 25 to 52

Ghana has leaped its number of coronavirus cases to 52, confirmed by the Ministry of Information.

The existing cases as at March 23, 2020 was 25 with confirmed 27 new cases.

 

 

According to Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at a press briefing on Tuesday Morning, March 24, 2020, Ghanaians should not panic but continue to spread and share of information on preventive measures.

He revealed that the case theory means, there has to be a rise of cases of affected people before it can reach it declining stage therefore Ghanaians should not be in fear.

He later assured that government is taking the various preventive measures to help curb the spread and not just a matter of fasting and prayers as people are blaming the government but precautionary measures as well.

The Minster further revealed that the subject of a lockdown is under consideration by government as the President needs to be advised by experts therefore Ghanaians should trust the process and let the decision make come out with the best findings.

He spoke that as at the time of the briefing, there was no possible conclusion of a lockdown.
