The Speaker of Parliament Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye has directed all Members of Parliament to wear face masks while dispensing their duties in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

This forms part of measures, taken by the House to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid -19).

The Ghana Health Service earlier today reported five more confirmed cases of (Covid-19) bringing the total tally to 16 cases


 

Three of the five new confirmed cases have no travel history.

Parliament has a matter of urgency, strengthened measures put in place to ensure safety of legislators.
