Ghana's covid-19 cases keep increasing as 98 patients are in severe condition, according to the Ghana Health Service.

Ghana's COVID-19 death toll has climbed to 358 after the Ghana Health Service (GHS) recorded six more fatalities.

According to the latest figures from GHS, 366 new infections have been recorded, bringing the overall case count to 58,431.

The GHS in it’s latest case management update said the country’s active cases now stand at 2,174.

Out of the total number of active cases, 98 patients are in severe condition while 36
others are in critical condition.

Clinical recoveries from the infection have however increased to 55,899.

Regional Breakdown of cases

The Greater Accra Region continues to record the highest number of cases counting a total of 33,017 Covid-19 cases, followed by the Ashanti Region, with 11,401 cases and the Western Region with 3,237 cases.

The Eastern Region has 2,681 cases, Central Region, 2,194 cases, Bono East Region, 795 cases and the Volta Region, 790 cases.

The Western North Region has 683 cases, Bono Region, 644 cases, Northern Region, 598 cases, Ahafo Region, 537 cases.

The Upper East Region, 399 cases, Oti Region, 244 cases, Upper West Region has 126 cases, Savannah Region, 62 cases and the North East Region 22 cases.

Cases recorded from international travellers now stand at 1,001 cases.
