Deputy National Secretary of Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Mr. Owusu Afriyie has said the current brouhaha in the educational sector must be blamed on the Computer School Selection Placement System.

Speaking with News Bono Regional Correspondent Nana Ama Asiedu, Mr. Owusu Afriyie said the through the Computer School Selection Placement System ( CSSPS) students are placed in the schools without knowing the rules and regulations of that particular institution.

He was reacting to the decision by the Ghana Education Service (GES) and Achimota School to deny the admission of the Rastafarian.

According to the School, they are not ready to set any bad precedence which in the long-run will have a negative effect on the institution

GES ordered the Achimota School to enroll the student which later changed the.

But Mr. Owusu Afriyie described the first decision by the Ghana Education Service as hastening.

Meanwhile, the National Association of Graduate Teachers has threatened to go on strike if the government interferes in the issue by ordering the school to admit the students.
