David De Gea is a doubt for Manchester United’s clash with Liverpool on Sunday at Old Trafford.

The Spanish goalkeeper was injured in Spain’s Euro 2020 Qualifier against Sweden, which ended a 1-all for both sides after an injury time equalizer from Rodrigo.

The draw has confirmed Spain’s participation in next year’s tournament yet their goalkeeper is likely to be sidelined in one of United's toughest challenge this season.

The news is not a promising one for the Red Devils who have been struggling throughout the season and lie 12th on the league table. They will face a tough Liverpool side who will be aiming for an 18th consecutive Premier League win to equal Manchester City’s record made in 2017.

De Gea grabbed the back of his leg after clearing a back pass from his own player in the 60-minute. Kepa Arrizabalaga replaced him in post. His absence demand the services of second choice goalkeeper, Sergio Romero to take his place.

The Argentine has been active in United’s Europa League and Carabao Cup this season for the Red Devils.
