Kumawood actor Berma Bediide, has shared his insightful thoughts on how the Akufo-Addo led administration should spend the $100m coronavirus relief funds, outrightly asking the president not to spend money on actors to shoot sensitizing coronavirus ads as he considers it a waste and a misdirection of funds.

The actor said it is imperative that the President uses the money to take care of those who are affected by the disease or in other activities that would directly help to curb the spread, where the results of the input can be measurable.

He stated his views while speaking in an interview on the "Uncut Show", stating that it is time for actors to stand up for the country. To show loyalty and patriotism and use their talent to help without thinking about any form of remuneration.

He appealed to TV stations in the country to accept educative videos from actors without charging them a fee if some of them show interest in contributing their quota to curbing the spread of the Coronavirus through such avenues.

He finally echoed the words of Yvonne Nelson, claiming that he too is ready to become a "Coronavirus ambassador" for free if the government were to call upon him. With celebrities divided on the cost of ambassador roles with some like Shatta Wale of the view that the government should pay and some like Yvonne Nelson of the view that the role should be assumed for free.

The government itself has not said anything that directly links to money being exchanged for ambassador roles, as it has more important issues to tackle with coronavirus cases soaring in Ghana at the moment.

If there will be an ambassador at this point, the administration is yet to announce.
