The lives of people in Ekye Amanfrom, a business community in the Kwahu Afram Plains South are in danger as trading and businesses go on without adherence to the covid-19 protocols.

SN24 Eastern Regional reporter William Ofori Akwaboa, reports that there is no strict monitoring to ensure compliance with Covid-19 protocols in the business centers of the Region.

Residents either put their masks in their pockets, in bags, or at their chins and only used them when they are enforced by some security personnel.

In Estimation, about 90 % of traders who ply their occupation on the shores of River Afram in the Ekye Amanfrom of the Region wash their hands in the river subsequent times either before boarding a canoe or after arrival from a canoe but none of them do it with soap.

The circumstance undoubtedly is increasing the infections of covid0-19 in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Eastern Region has recorded 3,306 cases since the outbreak of pandemic covid-19 and its rated the 4th highest affected Region in Ghana according to the latest update of Covid-19 cases in Ghana by the Ghana Health Service.
