EPL Matchday 31: Martial's first ever hat-trick blunts the Blades; Manchester United 3 - 0 Sheffield United
Anthony Martial has scored Man Utd’s first PL hat-trick in 263 games, spanning 7 years & 63 days, since Robin van Persie v Aston Villa in April 2013
Anthony Martial scored his first Premier League hat trick as Manchester United eased to a 3-0 win over Sheffield United at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman got the opener as early as the 7-minute from a Rashford assist. The English foward showed a nice change of pace to deceive Jagielka to get the by-line. There didn’t look much danger on but he volleyed a powerful cross into the near post and Martial was alive and reacted quicker than Basham to deflect the ball in from close range.
Martial doubled Man Utd's lead a minute before the break. It was a similar route to the first goal, down the right. This time it was Wan-Bissaka who did the delivering, he fired a low cross into the middle and Martial made the finish look easy.
