Manchester City's manager, Pep Guardiola says Eric Garcia is likely depart from the Etihad and pursue a new challenge in Spain.

The 20-year old Spaniard is been monitored by Barcelona after he earlier turned down contract extension talks with City in a bid to enjoy first-team football from a different venue.

Garcia is free to talk to clubs and his boyhood club, Barcelona is still enquiring of his services after failing to reach an agreement with the Citizens in October for the player and according to Pep during his pre-match duties, Barca is in the best position to acquire the player.

Garcia has also been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal as the Sun has reported that Arteta is in talks with his former club to secure the Spaniard’s signature.
