The Central Regional Headquarters of the Ghana Fire Service has officially called for the deployment of the Breman Asikuma Fire Tender to the Pentecost Convention Center to provide cover for coronavirus victims.

Angry Youth in the Breman Asikuma in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of Central Region on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, denied their fire Tender for National duty as protestors explained that the possibility of the vehicle returning to serve its purpose for the District is low.

They reflected that an ambulance for the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District suffered the same fate until president Nana Addo Danquah Akufo - Addo distributed the National Ambulance under the one district one ambulance initiative.

In a press release dated on February 4, 2021, signed by the Assistant Chief Fire Officer of Central Region, John Amarai Amartey, “after careful operational and safety measure considerations, the Command is hereby requesting you to move Fire Tender No. FS 443 to the Pentecost Convention Center to perform this high-level National Assignment for one month.”

In the absence, Fire Tender number FS335 will extend operational duties to cover Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District.

The letter is in strict compliance and information reaching soireenews indicates that the vehicle will be moved for National duty although the youth are not in support of the idea.

More to come...
