The Gonjaland Kingdom has lost one of its Royal sons called Kusawguwura Sulemana Solomon Ewutomah Kunkraga I of the Kusawgu Traditional Area.

He died on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Kusawgu in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.

The late Kusawguwura ascended onto the throne in the year 2010 until his demise in 2021 and is one of the Five (5) Royal sons of the Gonja Traditional Council with the liberty to ascend to the ‘Yagbon’, the Kingdom throne.

Historically, the Kusawguwura is the last born among the five Royal sons of the Gonja kingdom and his throne is ascended through Yapei chieftaincy within the Kusawgu traditional area.

In a statement issued by the Gonja Traditional Council to announce this sudden death intercepted by Soireenews indicated that the funeral arrangement would be published after the burial today on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
