Real Madrid will be glad to see that none of the players they had planned to sign this summer are listening to offers from other clubs.

The coronavirus pandemic has imposed financial restrictions on clubs across the world, with Los Blancos not expected to make any new signings this summer.

Instead, they will prioritize player sales and are looking to make 200 million euros in savings to secure the club's economic future.

Those that they had targeted to bring in ahead of next season are happy to wait until the situation returns to normal, although that means staying at their current clubs for another year.

All of those players are being pressured to sign contract extensions at their clubs, except Erling Haaland, who only joined Borussia Dortmund in January.

Both Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga's current contracts expire in 2022, but neither have been tempted to sign extensions.

It's a different story with Kai Havertz, whose contract at Bayer Leverkusen also runs until 2022, but there is serious interest from elsewhere.

Bayern Munich have ruled themselves out of the race to sign the German, but now Chelsea are pushing hard in their attempts to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are one of the few clubs to make any major signings so far having spent 60 million euros on Timo Werner.

The reality is that 100 million euro signings are now a thing of the past as clubs try to combat the financial losses that the pandemic will bring.

Swap deals look like being the order of the day when the transfer market does get moving.

Los Blancos had singled out Havertz as their top target and they'd been working on a surprise move for the forward over the winter.

The 20-year-old wants to play for Real Madrid and is ready to wait, but he's under a lot of pressure to accept one of the many offers coming in for him this summer.

Chelsea are at the front of the queue as they look to build a team capable of challenging in the Premier League and in Europe.

As for Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain are continuing to put new contracts on the table, with the latest talk of a wage worth 40 million euros a year.

The Frenchman knows that, with two years left on his current deal, he's in a position to choose his own future.

He also knows that Real Madrid are interested in signing him - and his desire to move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu hasn't gone away.

The forward will move when he is ready but, for now, the Real Madrid board haven't contacted PSG over a transfer.

In Haaland's case, he wants to stay at Dortmund for another season, but Manchester United are stepping up their bid to sign him.

Like Chelsea, the Red Devils want to construct a successful team and are confident of keeping Paul Pogba too.
