Ajeezay has said, his status in the Ghanaian comedy is that of a leader and not a follower.

The comic act claimed he copies no one when it comes to style in comedy.

In fact, per his words, people always look to him to set trends in the industry.

He said this an interview with Chelsy Sey on Y 97.9 FM’s Ryse N Shyne morning show.

“I have always been an individual who creates trends and never follow what other comedians do. I just want to create my own trend so others follow and that is what I am noted for”.

“For me, the untapped area was standup comedy and music. I thought of how my comedy will reach a large audience and I decided to use music to push my comedy. This is me. I am a stand-up comedian and entertainer”. He stated.

The actor, who became famous for his Jerusalema rendition had earlier maintainable that no matter how funny a joke is, some people will choose not to laugh at it. He mentioned that whether or not a person laughs at his jokes is by his/her own choice, and he'll not do anything to take away that choice from his audience.

"But when I’m in my element and things seem to be going according to plan then obviously you find a lot of people laughing at the auditorium."

“However, when I realize that some few people are not laughing I don’t really care about it. Because if the majority are happy with the jokes and you alone refuse to laugh I can’t kill myself."

“In fact, there’s nothing I can do. I have done my part maybe your problem is bigger than my jokes,” he told Amansan Krakye on GBC Radio Central in Cape Coast.
