Nigerian singer, Simi, has explained why she kept her relationship with her hubby, Adekunle Gold, private prior to when they officially tied the knot.

Nigerian female singer, Simi, has disclosed that there is a reason why she kept her relationship with her hubby, Adekunle Gold, private prior to when they officially tied the knot.

Simi and Adekunle Gold has been married since last year and their bond can be described as the Nigerian Beyonce and Jay Z, although their relationship was not public untill their tied knot.

Fans were taken by surprise when their wedding photos hits the internet. 

Simi while replying to tweet made it clear it was her intention to keep the relationship and after marriage away from the media.

A fan had revealed on twitter that her song, "Joromi" was her favourite.

In respond another follower also said, “The energy is different, I guess you were in a happy space when you recorded.. My favorite jam too and your first song Tiff”

In reply, Simi stated that her intial intention was to use “Dekunle Dekunle, I want you to love me” but didn't want to sound like she is so love with him.

She wrote:

"Lol Happy place? Where? I was over it. I wrote like 4 songs on the beat before I wrote Joromi. I was actually going to use “Dekunle Dekunle – I want you to love me” – but I already had “Take Me back” and I didn’t wanna sound like I liked somebody called Kunle that much.
