Lilwin has declared that he has spent over GHC300,000 on his upcoming TV series titled “Cocoa Season”.

The Kumawood actor also claimed that his show will feature over 70 Ghanaian celebrities.

He said this while speaking in an exclusive interview with Peacefmonline.com on set in Kumasi.

According to him, he has had to use his money as the sole source of funds for the money because he has not secured sponsors yet.

The series will feature known actors Kofi Adjorlolo, Vivian Jill, Mr Beautiful, Kalybos, and Agya Koo. Musicians such as `Kwesi Arthur, Sista Afia, Yaa Pono, Fameye, among others, with moisture of upcoming acts.

Dancehall Superstar, Stonebwoy, will also have his debut role in the series. 

He recently stated that his series will break the monopoly that foreign movies are having in the movie market. 

“Local movies help preserve our culture as a people and as an actor, I was not happy about how foreign series had dominated our screens. Despite the downfall of the film industry over the past years, I decided to do something creative that would receive the movie industry and continue to thrill movie loving fans."

"So I decided to combine veteran actors and popular musicians in this series so that both music and movie fans can have a feel of what their favourite artistes can do on the screens,” he claimed.

The movie will also contain his former manager Zack whom he once accused of taking him to a fetish Priest.
