Sergio Rams has defined the return of football in the midst of a declined coronavirus pandemic as ‘abnormal and complicated’ with the introduction of new protocols.

The Spanish Laliga was permitted to return on June 20 with training having begun last week after teams went through COVID-19 examination. Matches are likely to be played three times a week to allow the league to be completed in just over a month to make way for the new.

REAL MADRID:

"LaLiga will start again on June 20" - Javier Aguirre

The Madrid city council earlier gave the go ahead for Real Madrid to continue work on their huge Santiago Bernabeu redevelopment. Madrid now trains at the Valdebebas and according to the Los Blancos captain, the situation just requires it.

"We have to go to Valdebebas in divided zones and following the rules, it's a bit abnormal and complicated but the situation requires it," Ramos explained.

"It will be LaLiga who take decisions, Germany has set the example we have to follow.

"We like being with our families but we have to be flexible too."

Sergio Ramos also revealed that the resumption of football will help better the Spanish crushed economy caused by the coronavirus pandemic calling it a huge step for the country.

"Getting going needs time, the country needs football as an economic support and the people need it as a distraction," Ramos insisted.

"I'm dying to compete again, for LaLiga Santander to be normal again, we have to be disciplined so that we can eliminate this virus.

"I want to send a message of support to everyone who has lost a loved one, we'll get through this and we have to come together."
