Jurgen Klopp is the Premier League Manager of the Month for September.

The Liverpool manager has won the accolade in the second successive run after claiming it in August.

The German saw off competition from Leicester’s Rodgers, Eddie Howe of Bournemouth and Chelsea’s Frank Lampard after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of football experts.

His Liverpool side recorded three wins out of three, including their 2-1 triumph at Stamford Bridge. The defeat of Sheffield United last time out was their 16th Premier League victory in a row as they continue as the only unblemished side in the English Leagues.

The award has been collected by the 52-year old for a fifth time as the manager of the Reds, two more to equal PEP Guardiola since becoming the manager for the champions, Manchester City.

Guardiola also has a record of winning the Award on four successive months in 2017.
