Kumasi Asante Kotoko To Lose Top Striker, Songne Yacouba

The Porcupine Warriors in the coming weeks will lose Yacouba after the club has failed to meet the Burkinabe`s $150,000 demand which will enable him renew his contract at the club as revealed by the clubs Executive Chairman.

Asante Kotoko will lose striker Sogne Yacouba after club revealed that, they can’t meet his $150,000 demands.

Dr. Kwame Kyei said the club is not capable of meeting Sogne Yacouba`s contract renewal demands because they can’t afford it.

Yacouba is demanding a yearly salary of $150,000 before signing a new deal with the club.

The Ghanaian giants offered the player an amount of GHc 50,000-a-year contract but was rejected by his representatives.

According to the club Executive Chairman, they have no means to pay an outrageous amount of cash to the Burkinabe forward.

He added that the player will depart the club when his contract expires in February.

“Asante Kotoko SC can't pay Songne Yacouba the $150,000 he is demanding from Club to renew his contract.”

“Yacouba will leave the club after his contract expires. Dr Kwame Kyei tells Kotoko supporters after the game.”

Yacouba`s contract will expire on 23 February 2020.
