Diogo Jota is the next on the list of Liverpool as the Wolverhampton Wanderers forward is nearing a move to Anfield.

The Reds completed the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich and from the latest development; Klopp seems to have found a way to convince the owners on the need to invest in the club to defend the Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp had a way earlier hence his advice to Timo Werner as reported to hold on to his Premier League transfer for some time yet the forward’s desperation made him choose Chelsea, throwing away a chance to join the Premier League champions.

The Reds have agreed to sell Ki-Jana Hoever to Wolves for £10m as Klopp is determined to bring in his third signing, with three weeks left to close the transfer window.

Sky Sports reports that the £35m deal could be finalized as early as Saturday.

Jota was absent from Wolves' disappointing Carabao Cup exit to Stoke on Thursday, with manager Nuno Espirito Santo refusing to disclose the reason for his absence.

“He was not on the squad list. Period,” Nuno Espirito Santo said in his Man City pre-match when enquired.

The forward joined Wolves from Porto initially on loan in 2017 and has scored 44 goals and 19 assists in 131 games for the Premier League side.
