Liverpool Unveil Nike as New Kit Sponsors for the 2020-21 season

Nike has officially be unveiled as the new kit sponsor of Liverpool Football Club from the start of the 2020-21 season.

New Balance, current kit sponsors for the Reds sued the club for refusing to honor the £40-million a year deal, which expires next year May. The case was dismissed and according to Sky sports, a Liverpool spokesperson revealed that, "The club is pleased with the judge's decision to rule in favor of the club following the legal dispute with our current kit supplier, New Balance.

 

 

According to Liverpool, New Balance were unable to match the offer Nike is offering to the club in relation to the marketing and distribution of products with a high court ruling in favor of the league leaders.
Liverpool's managing director and chief commercial officer, Billy Hogan speaking on the new deal, said: "Our iconic kit is a key part of our history and identity.
