Ghanaian reggae dancehall musician Kojo Korankye, popularly known as Ras Kuuku has called on the government to make him the man for the recently legalized cannabis since he has more knowledge on its use than his other colleagues. 

Ras Kuuku has bragged about knowing the proper used of the cannabis on his social media pages and he has said that he has been using it for years, explaining that if he is made the ambassador to the cannabis, he would be able to properly educate the people on the use of marijuana without abusing and also educate the public on the benefits of marijuana to the economy.

In an interview on Accra FM, the musician disclosed that he has the capability to instruct the public on the importance of weed to the human body and the economy.

"Make me the ambassador for weed. I will build more classroom blocks to stop the double-tracking system….Ghana stands the chance of generating more revenue from weed,” he said.

Parliament passed the Bill to legalize the use of cannabis for medicinal and industrial use on Friday, 20 March Bill 2020, NACOB is a Commission that has the mandatory power to regulate the use of Cannabis for healthy and industrial purposes.

The new law empowers the Minister for Interior to grant licenses for the cultivation of cannabis of not more than 0.3 percent THC, the main psychoactive compound in cannabis that gives the users a high sensation, for industrial and medicinal purposes.
