Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have been named in the 10-man shortlist of the African Player of the Year Awards 2019.

The 30-man list was reduced to 10 candidates on Wednesday with Arsenal’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang included.

Mane and Salah have had outstanding form for club and country as long as football is concerned.

Salah is looking forward to be crowned for the third time after winning the award back to back in the previous years following his impressive 44 goals for Liverpool and Egypt in 2018  and finishing as the Golden Boot winner in 2017-18 season.

Mane led his Senegalese team in the finals of the African Cup of Nations 2019 and lost to Algeria by a lone goal. He was joint scorer with Salah last season with 22 goals.
