Mr. Joseph Osei, Chairman for Asenso Boakye Fan Club donates to Ohwim Hwediem M/A Basic School

Ohwim Hwediem M/A Basic School receives donations from Chairman Joe.

Ohwim Hwediem M/A Basic School has received educational support items as kind gestures from the Chairperson of the Asenso Boakye foundation. The items include cupboards, desks, and teachers' tables and chairs to ease the teaching and learning activities of the school.

 

Chairman Joe also promised to pay three months' salary to one of the teachers in kindergarten who was about to lose her job due to lack of funds.

The Chairman of the Asenso Boakye Fan Club, Mr. Joseph Osei stated that his love for education motivated him to provide such a gesture to support the Bantama constituency. He emphasized the fact that Honorable Asenso has the vision to help the young ones get educated and that some school dropouts in the constituency have gone back to the classroom because of the contribution the young MP has made to education.

The school was initiated and funded by Hon. Asenso Boakye, MP Bantama, started operating early this year and because it is a new school lacked things like Cupboards and teacher’s office furnishings which makes daily teaching and learning activities goes on.

The Headmaster of the school also expressed his appreciation to the chairman and just like Oliver Twist, he asked for support from the government and other stakeholders. He stated that furniture for kindergarten students is a headache for them and they have an ICT room yet they have no computers so the well-to-do in the society should come to their aid. The headteacher also made known that due to the lack of classrooms for JHS students come to school and return back home because the room is too small and cannot accommodate a large number for Junior high School.

Some parents also expressed their gratitude to Chairman Joe and his team for their immense support and asked that other stakeholders should also help promote education and also to make the school prestigious.
