The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Kwadaso Municipality, Hon. Richard Agyenim Boateng has admitted that government's Nations Builders Corp program (NABCO) has helped to raise the financial status of his Assembly through revenue mobilization.

 

 

He disclosed that 463 NABCO trainees were assigned to collect proceeds and perform tasks, a concern which was a major challenge in his Municipal yet the transparency and commitment of employees has aided to define their finances. He called on the government to retain the trainees when their contract ends.

“The municipal assembly was assigned 463 Nations Builder Corps trainees from the different modules that were established. They have been helpful in generating revenue and performing task, which the assembly lacked, required staff. It is the hope of the assembly that these trainees would be maintained at the expiration of their contract,” he said.

 

 

Hon. Agyenim Boateng made the statement whiles reviewing the works of government in the ‘Meet the Press’ initiative towards all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCE)'s in their areas on November 2, 2019.

He addressed that government’s one million per each constituency was aimed at improving better education for the benefit of residents. The one District one Factory programme was also exposed as one of the key resource the Assembly is benefitting from.

He informed that the Kasapreko Company Limited situated on the Tanoso Abuakwa road is under transformation as part of the 'One District One factory' inventiveness to be a major producer of drinks to support the employment of youth in the Kwadaso Municipality.

 

 

“The Kasapreko Company Limited is been upgraded to be a major producer of drinks. It is the hope of the gathering that expansion works will be completed by the end of the year for production works to begin,” he said.

Various developmental and flagship programmes were also accounted to have taken place since the New Patriotic Party’s governant assumed power in 2016.

Briefing the press on security and safety on the Sofoline Interchange, the MCE made known on the completion of the underpass beneath the site and urged pedestrians to ply on it rather than taking risks to cross the highway.

 

 

“They should use the underpass instead of trying to cross the road. The traffic light is a temporal one and within a shortest possible time, we’ll move it and make a barricade so that pedestrians cannot cross the highway. There will be an overpass but that hasn’t been introduced yet so I am appealing to pedestrians to use the underpass and avoid crossing the road.

"There are security men cameras at the vantage points along the underpass so there is no fear using them,” he added.
