"NABCO trainees Should Be Made Permanent At Their Various Agencies" - NABTAG National President Appeals To Government
NABTAG

The president of Nation Builders Corp Trainees Association of Ghana, (NABTAG) Dennis Katakyie has appealed to the Government of Ghana to make the employment of NABCO workers constant in their various work places.

In a press statement released on Monday signed by the Communication Team Lead of NABTAG, Akwasi Botchway, the request is based on the impact NABCO employees have affected since the introduction of the scheme.

The three-year program was initiated by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to address graduate unemployment and improve revenue mobilization, public service delivery, skills and employability and access to basic public services.

The course is in it concluding stage and according to the NABTAG president, NABCO MIPs and other organizations must pay a second attention to the president's call for consideration of NABCO trainees first for permanent placement in the various organizations.

Full Statement

In the rise of expectations from NABCO trainees for permanent employment owing to the imminent expiration of the three-year contract, NABTAG is hereby appealing to NABCO MIPs and other organizations to pay a second attention to the president's call for consideration of NABCO trainees first for permanent placement in the various organizations.

Excitement has triggered my heart as the Communication Team Lead of NABTAG, to report on the background dialogues that the national president, Dennis Katakyie, has been sternly staging with key stakeholders on behalf of beneficiaries concerning the provision of permanent employment as we are heading close to the end of the three-year NABCO contract.

I do not intend to establish tantalizing rhetorics to play on the intelligence of unsuspecting beneficiaries by publishing non-existing arrangements as the Communication Team Lead of NABTAG, but report on the true state of affairs with respect to the actuality of preparations being held backstage in favor of NABCO beneficiaries. This particular narrative (of permanent employment for trainees with NABCO) has assumed a long tail over the years since the inception of the scheme. Due to the graving cloth that this narrative has put on, the outfit of NABTAG has severely been attacked as the connecting channel to the stakeholders.

While this circular is giving heads up on NABTAG's response to the troubling issue to all trainees (permanent employment), further arrangements are underway to give a detailed report on the grand path being chartered to see to the materialization of this enterprise. Since it remains a course in the right direction, NABTAG is playing a key role in ensuring the right resolution is arrived at.

Let me take this opportunity to thank the highest office of the nation, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for his acute interest in securing the future of the youth through the deploration of NABCO and creating training mechanisms to help realize the end goal (job creation).

In furtherance, I thank the Chief Executive Officer of NABCO, Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, on behalf of the executives of NABTAG and for that matter all trainees, for his indefatigable quest in attending to the pressing needs of the youth. Whiles the majority of your brilliant arrangements are left in covert channels, I personally know you have been playing a phenomenal role in different ventures; all in pursuance of a delectable landing for the beneficiaries of NABCO.

A very big bravo to our industrious Regional Coordinators,Regional Monitors,District Coordinators and RTCs for their unlimited support to the scheme.

My final address to all NABCO beneficiaries can't wear any other theme than their continued support for the scheme. Don't give attentive ears to the negative media reportage driven by partisan politics, attacks on management and all sorts of allegations to bringing down the NABCO program. Stand strong and own the initiative for the betterment of your future.

Permanent jobs could be achieved without demonstrations, inciting, attacking, insulting and threatening of strikes/boycotts.

Remember NABCO did not come into existence through any of the improper way of addressing issues above.

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF NABTAG:

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

1. Permanent Jobs.

2. Stipends Increment.

3. Legal Instruments(LI) for NABCO.

(These objectives could be attained in an amiable way, through substantive dialogues with key stakeholders. Let's learn to present our petitions with some level of professionalism.)

The Communication Team of NABTAG shall come your way again with more detailed updates on the arrangements being cooked in relation to permanent employment which includes an electronic signing petition and the rest.

In the meantime, let's keep adhering to all the safety protocols for tackling covid-19.
