He was jointly welcome home by Municipal Chief Executive of Nzema East, Honourable Dorcas Elizabeth Amoah, Arch Bishop Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle also a son of Axim,  Paramount Chief of Lower Axim Awulae Attibrukusu and his elders, Awulae Angama Tuajan, Obahema Ezra Nkrumah, and many other Chiefs and Queen mothers, his family members in and outside the Nzema East Municipality

THE NATIONAL Chief  Imam in Ghana, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has visited his ancestral home in Axim of the Western Region in a rousing homecoming organized in His honour, with a call on the people of the area to unite and make peace, unity and tolerance the bedrock for development.

He was jointly welcome home by Municipal Chief Executive of Nzema East, Honourable Dorcas Elizabeth Amoah, Arch Bishop Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle also a son of Axim,  Paramount Chief of Lower Axim Awulae Attibrukusu and his elders, Awulae Angama Tuajan, Obahema Ezra Nkrumah, and many other Chiefs and Queen mothers, his family members in and outside the Nzema East Municipality 

His Eminence Sheikh Sharubutu was so happy to return to his ancestral home after a long period of time though he stayed in constant touch with some members of the family in Accra. 

This illustrious son of Axim, His Eminence Sheikh Dr Sharubutu prayed for peace to reign in Axim, his Family and Nzema as a whole. 

He performed to cut sod for a Technical University to be built in his home town through the Turkish Embassy to honour "our living legend."

The people of Axim were happy that Nzema had such an illustrious son occupying the highest office as a Spiritual Father of Islamic Religion in Ghana and a member of the National Peace Council.

Arch Bishop Palmer-Buckle on behalf of the people of Axim presented him with a Citation and a Portrait of His Eminence Sharubutu.

He visited his family home and had a special encounter with them.
He continued his visit to Kamgbunli- the Islamic Community in Ellembelle where he had a prayer service and a durbar in his honour.
