Gospel artiste, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, popularly known as 'Great Ampong' has denied reports relating to a statement he made that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has neglected him.

The artiste denied telling anyone that he had been abandoned by the governing party whiles speaking in an interview on Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360 show with Tony Best. He said:

“I read the story too and didn’t get bothered to respond because one of Ghana’s former Presidents told me not respond to any story I hear about me if I know it isn’t true and due to that I have stayed mute when I heard that allegation,” he said.

“I remember I granted an interview to one blogger and [he] just twisted the story and even brought my children in the conversation which wasn’t part.”

Great Ampong took the opportunity and spoke about his new single, Corona Virus, dedicated to the deadly Covid-19 fight. The song educates Ghanaians on the need to use sanitizers and also pray and remain in God through whom pandemic can only be cured.

 “Please try your best as much as possible to stay home because the disease is waiting for you out there. I am begging you, Ghana needs you...Face masks and sanitizers are good but God is the final answer to everything and that is why I titled my upcoming song Nyametiser. It is also a beautiful and I know it will be loved by all," he ended.
