Nominations for the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has been opened.

The organisers, Charterhouse Productions Limited, declared this on their website.

"On behalf of the Board, headline Sponsor, Vodafone, and other partners, we are Pleased to inform musicians, music industry practitioners and members of the general public that nominations for the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards officially open.”

Artistes are now expected to the nomination of their works between January and December 2020.

The deadline for submissions is on the 15th of February, 2021.

Kuami Eugene was named the Artiste of the Year for the 21st Edition of the VGMA 2020.

He took home the most prestigious award ahead of other contenders which included Gospel musician Diana Hamilton, Sarkodie, Medikal and Kofi Kinaata at the 21st edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Many individuals felt an upstart like Kuami Eugene should never beat Sarkodie to the Artiste of The Year Award when everyone knows how prominent Sarkodie has been over the course of the last year.

The event took place last year August.
