National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Honourable Johnson Asiedu Nketiah affectionately called General Mosquito, has called on Ghanaians, particularly those in the Ashanti Region to vote the New Patriotic Party (NPP) out of power in the 2024 general elections.

According to General Mosquito, Ghanaians are struggling all because of this so call economic wizard who supervised the collapse of Ghana's Economy.
He stressed that the Vice President of Ghana who doubles as the Presidential candidate for the NPP, Dr Mahamudu  Bawumia is not fit to be elected to become the President of the Republic of Ghana.
He indicated that Ghanaians, particularly supporters and members of the NDC are not impressed with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's attempt to extricate himself from the current economic difficulties the country is facing.

He pointed out that the NPP will need to be out of government to allow an internal overhaul in what he describes as hijacking of NPP from its base in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, the neglect of the region by the NPP is enough evidence to support his claim.
"Nana Akufo-Addo and his government have destroyed the NPP built by the Ashantis. If there is no conviction to vote former President John Dramani Mahama into office, for the sake of your party do so", he said.
Asiedu Nketiah at Afigya Kwabre South Constituency's Sasa electoral area told electorates, "It is in the interest of the NPP to lose the election and get the opportunity to rebuild the party. This is not the NPP we know. It is not the party that has been supported by the Asantes."
The NDC Chairman has been meeting the electorate in some constituencies of the Ashanti Region in smaller groupings, a strategy he terms as a retail campaign.
According to Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the governing NPP which has the Ashanti Region as its stronghold has failed to provide the social goods as achieved by the previous NDC administration.
Wrapping up the first day of JM and Jane NDC Victory Retail Campaign activities in Afigya Kwabre South Constituency's Sasa electoral area, Chairman General Mosquito criticized the Nana Addo/Bawumia government.
"Ghanaians have placed a verdict on Nana Addo/Bawumia government... They have failed.
Even Bawumia himself asserted that by distancing himself from this wicked government of his boss. Don't be deceived; he is part of the mess that has caused untold hardships on you."
On NDC manifesto policies, Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah emphasized:
"Free SHS won't be canceled by Mahama's NDC government; rather, we'll transform it to provide enough classrooms, hostels, and amenities with good food, not the current traffic light system... Free education policy has been in our constitution since Dr. Kwame Nkrumah initiated it. When we drafted the 1992 constitution, we stated it clearly."
"The double-track system affects students, but Nana Addo/Bawumia's government ignores concerned voices... SHS heads will be empowered to handle feeding issues, avoiding food shortages and poor feeding."
For her part, the NDC PC Vivien Nyuzagla Nuzagl outlined her empowerment programs and promised more when elected MP.
The chiefs addressed water challenges, youth joblessness, and telecommunications services. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah concluded by urging the chiefs and community members to vote massively for Mahama and Hon. PC Vivien.
