Offices Don’t Employ Women Because of Maternity Leave - Adina

Adina Thembi has stated that she is on a mission to change the way women are viewed in the professional world.

The songstress noted that most women are excluded from some top positions in some professions because they fear that they may one day get pregnant.

This pregnancy might lead to the women taking time off and not doing the work they're supposed to be doing while still being on the payroll.

Adina has said that she will continue to do her work even when she is pregnant.

According to her, she has no plans to delay her career just for pregnancy and she would even mount the stage to perform when she is pregnant.

The only time she will stop work is when her doctor says it's unsafe for her and the child, she stated. 

In her opinion, she will not join the many celebrities who have decided to delay birth just because they don't want their pregnancy period to interfere with their careers.

"I think apart from the entertainment industry, even in offices people don’t want to employ women because of maternity leave and all. For me, I want to prove that thing wrong. I don’t believe because you are a woman you have to take a full break"

"I wanna be pregnant and be performing until I can’t anymore. I would want the doctor to tell me that. After birth, I would still like to be working"

She said this in a recent interview on Adon TV’s Ahosepe Xtra.
