Pep Guardiola is not making a return to Barcelona anytime sooner according to his agent, Josep Maria Orobitg.

The Spaniard was linked to the Blaugranas job following the sack of Quique Setien on Monday. The Manchester City manager was the man speculated to be the best option after Xavi ruled out a possible move from Al Sadd to manage his former club.

The Sun reported that Guardiola is considering cutting his stay after a disappointing season for the Citizens following their elimination from the Champions League quarterfinals for three successive seasons under his guidance.

Josep Maria Orobitg when confronted as to whether Pep is leaving the Premier League quickly snubbed reports saying, "He's 100 percent staying at Manchester City.”

The 49-year old is in the final season of his four-year contract signed at Man City at the start of the 2016/17 season. He has won every trophy in the English top-flight including the Premier League on two occasions, the FA Cup, and three League Cups for the Sky Blues.

One trophy he desires most is winning the Champions League for the second time, having already grabbed his hands on the European accolade in 2011 with Barcelona.
