Phil Foden recalled by Southgate; Greenwood misses out
Raheem Sterling has joined the squad after missing last month's international through injury
Gareth Southgate has recalled Phil Foden for the upcoming Internationals but failed to involve Manchester United’s, Mason Greenwood.
The Manchester City midfielder was omitted from the list of the England squad in October after breaching the FA’s coronavirus guidelines by meeting girls at the team’s hotel during their game against Iceland in September.
The pair were sent home and failed to take part in the team’s Nation League fixtures against Belgium and Denmark.
The injury of Southampton striker, Danny Ings seems to have left a gap to be filled and the Man City player who has since scored three times in six premier league games has been given a recall.
England will play Ireland on Thursday in a friendly match before travelling to Belgium and finally welcoming Iceland at home.
