Real Madrid president, Fiorentino Perez is considering a summer move for Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine has already showed interest in the Real Madrid job by turning down an unexpected offer from Barcelona over a month ago, knowing that accepting the Catalans would close the doors to Madrid although he’s not making any public declarations of love out of respect for Zidane.

With four defeats in his last seven games and with their Champions League qualification being delicate, Zidane knows very well he could be axed when the season closes.

In the event that 2019/20 ends with Real Madrid's only silverware being the Supercopa de Espana, it's likely that a competitive manager might take over although Massimiliano Allegri is another candidate with the Independent haven reported last week that Los Blancos had made contact with Pochettino's people.

The approach was apparently hurried due to Paris Saint-Germain's interest in the Argentinian, and Real Madrid don't want to miss out.

Pochettino has been linked with the Bernabeu for a while now, and the club want to make sure they do not pass up another opportunity to land him.

The former Spurs manager has always had a good relationship with Florentino Perez, but he does not want to come in before the summer if it can be avoided.

Now, both parties are left waiting for June and for Zidane to leave having not won Laliga Santander nor the Champions League, or for him to win one or both and then resign.
