(Notably, all 10 songs above have appeared on the Hot 100 since the chart's 1991 adoption of its Nielsen Music/MRC Data-based methodology, which has resulted in longer average chart runs than before. Additionally, eight of the titles above have charted since streaming became an integral part of the list's data mix, giving hits prominent in airplay and sales another metric to help solidify their high chart placements.)

Plus, as "Circles" has logged all 34 of its weeks on the Hot 100 in the top 10, dating to its arrival at No. 7 on the Sept. 14, 2019-dated chart, it passes Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" for the most weeks tallied in the region from a song's debut.

To-date, "Circles" has drawn 2.9 billion in cumulative radio airplay audience and 732 million U.S. streams and sold 457,000 downloads.

Circles" additionally becomes the first title to have spent 30 weeks in the top 10 on Billboard's mainstream top 40-based Pop Songs airplay chart. The song previously led the list for 10 weeks.

"For me, the staying power of 'Circles' is due to a combination of an absolutely addicting, fun, emotional, and at the same time, non-fatiguing hook, combined with relatable lyrics," R Dub, XHTZ (Z90) San Diego director of programming, recently told Billboard. "Who can't relate to going in circles in so many aspects of life? Young, old, rich, poor, black, white … we're all going through it.
