PSG confirm Gini Wijnaldum signing

The Netherlands international midfielder has signed with the club from the French capital until 30 June 2024.

Paris Saint Germain has confirmed the signing of Georginio Wijnaldum, the club has confirmed.

The former Liverpool player has signed a three-year contract with the French club which runs till June 30, 2024.

Wijnaldum was linked to Barcelona since January following Ronald Koeman’s interest in the Dutchman but an improved bid by the French club won the player to unite with them.

The 30-year-old made 237 appearances and scored 22 goals for Liverpool in all competitions, lifting the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup titles with them.

The Dutchman speaking in his first interview told that “I want to bring all my desire and commitment to this ambitious project”

“Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is a new challenge for me,” the former Magpie revealed after signing his contract.

“I’m joining one of the best squads in Europe and I want to bring all my desire and commitment to this ambitious project. Paris Saint-Germain have proved how good they are in recent years and I am convinced that together, with our supporters, we can go even further and higher.”
